Cosette Reece has a voice like ‘maple syrup’ and, last year, with the help of Tony Nominees Josh Young and Emily Padgett-Young, she performed a soulful cabaret called Man! I Feel Like a Woman! Cosette’s professional debut was at the Detroit Opera House in the new staged production “X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X” directed by Tony nominee Robert O’Hara where she played Malcolm’s girlfriend. She is a raging liberal who loves country music, if you can wrap your head around that. After training in college and short films, The Fault in Our Stars, Milica Govich says ‘the camera loves her’. Cosette is an “everywoman”, playing a disney princess one second and a frat boy the next. Something you might not expect from Cosette is that she has 10 siblings and loves a little dark humor. A necessary cry in her car with “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac blasting makes her feel alive! Cosette is an advocate for therapy and hopes to encourage everyone to lead with empathy. She is a Detroit native pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre from Oakland University.
